Ayodhya is the birthplace of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram on the east bank of the Saryu River. The beauty & legacy of Ayodhya is well written in the great epics Ramayan and Shri Ram Charitmanas. The city is not only known for its grand history but vibrant future as well. lastly, after many controversies over the decades, the city is ready to host a grand & most awaited Ram Temple at Ram Janam Bhoomi.

Ayodhya was the capital city of Kosaldesh ruled by a number of notable rulers of ancient history. It includes Ikshvaku, Prithu, Mandhata, Harishchandra, Sagar, Bhagirath, Raghu, Dileep, Dashrath, and Ram. The kingdom’s magnificence reached its height under their reign, and Ram Rajya was embodied.

Either it’s the architectural beauty of Kanak Bhawan, Dashrath Bhawan, Hanuman Garhi, or the serenity of Jhunki Ghat & Guptar Ghat etc. Also, the inner part of the kingdom, an area of 84 Kos (268 Kms) is full of beliefs & ancient monuments. Moreover, the area is live proof of the legacy mentioned in epics.

The city offers superb connectivity with the rest of the world. Ayodhya is at a distance of 160 Kms (4 hrs drive) from Prayagraj. The nearest airport is Lucknow (135 Kms/3 Hrs drive). However, an international airport is also under contraction in the town with a deadline till the year 2023. Also, Road connectivity is also very good with all major cities nearby. There is a railway station in Ayodhya & another nearest (9 Kms) railway station at Faizabad.
